General Information

ATTENDANCE: Attendance is critical to ensure a solid dance education and maintain proper level technique. When choosing to dance at Impulse Dance Center, I fully expect students to make their dance education a priority. It is difficult for both student and the rest of the class when there are absences. If you absolutely must miss a class, please call the studio number before class *(508) 653 - 2171*

MAKE-UP CLASSES: If you do miss a class, you have the option to make it up in any other class that is the same technique level, or the level below, of your choosing. Just call and let the studio know which class you will be attending as a make up. There are no refunds for missed class time.

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER: When weather conditions are not at their best, call (508) 655 - 8548 OR (508) 653 - 2171, after 1:00 P.M. on weekdays and Sunday and after 8:00 A.M. on Saturday, where a recorded message will let you know ONLY if classes have been cancelled. If you hear the regular greeting, then classes are on! REMEMBER, IF NATICK SCHOOL IS CANCELLED, THIS DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN THAT IMPULSE IS CLOSED - YOU HAVE TO CALL! If we do cancel because of inclement weather, there will not be a special make up class (unless there are more than 4 cancellations for any one class). Students, however, may make up the time in another class of their choosing if they so desire. **Again the numbers to call are: **(508) 655 - 8548 or (508) 653 - 2171** Or check Impulse Fan Page on Facebook

TUITION: Tuition is based on a complete program. You can pay total tuition for all classes in full with registration and take advantage of an 8% discount OR you can break tuition into 10 (Ten) payments that are due the first of every month beginning September 1 and the last payment must be made by June 1. Please make checks payable to: IMPULSE DANCE CENTER and mail to the studio at: 5 Summer Street, Natick, MA 01760 or send with student the first week of every month.

WE DO NOT BILL. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the studio, payments after the 15th of each month will be subject to a late fee of $5.

**THERE WILL BE A $15 FEE FOR RETURNED CHECKS**

DANCE CONCERT: There is a dance performance at the completion of the program to celebrate our many months of hard work. Although participation is not required to study dance throughout the year, I do encourage students to be part of the production. It gives students a chance to utilize the technique they have learned as well as gives them valuable orientation to the performance stage. Dress rehearsal and Concert date(s) are given well in advance and attendance is mandatory if you agree to be part of the Concert. You may not realize that when we choreograph a piece for a class, we do so very specifically for that class and the number of dancers in that class - Nothing is generic! Each dancer's place on stage is critical to the harmony and placement of fellow dancers. A costume deposit of $25 per class will be due December 1 with the balance due in February. Specific rules and requirements along with a commitment form will be given out in November. Please be sure to read everything completely before making a commitment to the concert.

WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PROGRAM: If student withdraws from the program after December 1 but before its completion, there is a withdrawal fee the equivalent of one month tuition payment. If student withdraws after March 1, you are obligated to pay the entire balance due. Please note: If you have paid tuition in full, a refund for the balance will be made from the date of official withdrawal from the class and with the withdrawal fee, if applicable. If you have paid tuition in full and take multiple classes (individual or by family) a refund for the balance will be made from the date of official withdrawal from the class after readjusting tuition based on the number of classes still being taken and with the withdrawal free if applicable.

Students arrive on time for classes and in proper dance attire (See REQUIRED DRESS FOR CLASS) with hair secured off face. There is no gum allowed in class. Students must bring their own water to class. Food and beverages (other than water) is not allowed in the actual studio space. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (508) 653 - 2171.

Please DO NOT park in the Debsan parking lot before 4:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday. Again, you do not have to feed the meters after 5:00 P.M. on weekdays or anytime on weekends. They have everything you need for any dance form at Dancer's Image including lots of gift ideas for your dancer! They have a very supportive and knowledgeable staff. Pointe shoe fittings are their specialty. Not the place for required Jazz or Tap shoes for any Impulse class.

REMEMBER - wherever you choose to purchase your dance shoes, you MUST try them on as dance shoes need to fit like a glove and the sizes will be different, in most cases, than your street shoes. You should put your student's name on the inside of all dance shoes with permanent marker only AFTER I have checked for a proper fit.
